Founder/Managing Director
Veranga is a veteran in the investment banking and insurance industries, with over 24 years of experience, including tenure at Capital Alliance (CAL) and Union Assurance. As a former Head of Fixed Income Sales and VP-Treasury Sales in the industry, he brings to the table specialized skills in negotiation, business strategy planning, general management, product development and customer service. He has also been recognized for sales and service excellence through multiple company awards.
A former head prefect of D § Senanayake College, Colombo, and a CIM UK-certifed Chartered Marketer, Veranga has honed leadership traits, built established networks, and garnered the ability to develop and empower people. Veranga launched Capital One to provide end-to-end, personalized solutions and effectively meet industry gaps in terms of accountability towards clients and employees, driven by his commitment to excellence and compassion.
WASANTHA FERANDO
Independent Non- Executive Director
Mr. Wasantha Fernando is a multidisciplinary professional with an exceptional record in education, law, and business transformation. A World Award-Winning Lecturer in CIMA (UK) with over 21 years of international experience, he has taught in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Maldives, Bangladesh, and the UK, mentoring more than 40,000 students, including several world prize winners.
He is a respected authority in Commercial and Debt Recovery Law and the author of the widely used legal reference “An Insight into Sri Lankan Debt Recovery Law. Mr. Fernando holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from KDU, where he was batch top (2020/21). Known for his leadership and emotional intelligence, he has successfully transformed underperforming ventures into thriving businesses, bringing strategic insight and trusted expertise to Capital One Group
SURESH SUBASHINGHE
Independent Non- Executive Director
Suresh Subasinghe is an accomplished technology leader and independent director with extensive experience in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, and innovation across fintech, healthcare, and aviation. He serves on the Board of Kapruka Holdings PLC and is the Managing Partner at Arc75, leading high-security digital solutions. Previously, he was CTO at ThruAi, Director of Digital Platform Architecture at Air Canada, and Principal Architect at United Airlines, driving Al, cloud, and enterprise modernization. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Utah
